Pia

Pia is a great teacher! I have been learning conversational colloquial Levantine Arabic with her for several weeks now, and the classes with her have really helped. She has different exercises that she switches up to keep lessons from getting boring, and the exercises are always challenging without being stressful or overwhelming. The first half of the lesson is usually a little more structured, while the second half is usually more spontaneous conversation, which I find to be a good mix. In today's lesson she presented me with pictures and asked me to describe what was happening in them, asking me follow up questions and correcting my mistakes as we went. Early on I told her my goal was to focus on speaking, and that is exactly what we focus on. She is always fully present during the lesson, and the audio quality and internet connection are good enough that I can hear the differences between all the frustratingly similar Arabic phonemes. Highly recommend!

Pia is an all-around incredibly competent and kind tutor. Her lessons are always very well planned out and she continually stays patient and adjusts to your pace and is more than willing to answer any questions. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to learn a language regardless of what level or confidence you may have.
