I am a Japanese teacher.
I live in Nagano, Japan.
My hobby is traveling. I love visiting breweries, wineries and hot springs.
Recently I like anime (SPY×FAMILY, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, etc.) very much and I often watch them.
I have been to Canada, USA, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.
I'm so curious that I want to know more about the world.

日本の長野に住んでいます。
趣味は旅行です。ブルワリーやワイナリー、そして温泉をめぐるのが大好きです。
最近はアニメ（SPY×FAMILY、鬼滅の刃、進撃の巨人）もとても好きで、よく見ています。
今までカナダ、アメリカ、中国、フィリピン、ベトナム、タイ、インドネシアに行きました。

I majored in Japanese language education at my university.
After graduating from the university, I have been teaching Japanese for 3 years in China and over 15 years in Japan.
I love teaching Japanese.
I can teach conversation, composition, kanji, test preparation, business Japanese, pronunciation, anything.
Now I mainly teach online. I also have a YouTube channel "日本語まきちゃんねる".
I try to make it easy for you to understand and enjoy learning in class.
私は大学で日本語教育学を専攻しました。
大学を卒業してから、中国で3年間、日本では15年以上ずっと日本語を教えています。
私は日本語を教えるのが大好きです。
会話、作文、漢字、試験対策、ビジネス日本語、発音、何でも教えることができます。
今はオンラインでマンツーマンレッスンをしています。YouTube「日本語まきちゃんねる」で日本語学習に関する動画も公開しています。

I can teach at any level, from beginner to business level. I teach in Japanese according to the learner's level, so even beginners can learn with confidence. You can ask questions in English or Chinese, but I use Japanese as much as possible. I plan lessons at the learner's request, to be able to speak, to pass the test, and so on.

2007 - 2012
Full-time lecturerI taught Japanese to international students at a Japanese language school in Tokyo. They go on to university and graduate school in Japan. I had to teach them from beginner level Japanese and let them pass college and graduate school. So I learned how to teach to pass the Japanese language exam, how to write a letter of reasons for applying for graduate school, how to choose a school, etc.
2012 - 2019
Full-time lecturer, Head of TeachingI also taught Japanese at a Japanese language school in my hometown of Nagano. In addition to teaching Japanese, I also taught everyday life and part-time jobs. I also served as head of teaching, managing other teachers and schedules, and planning and managing events.
2019 - 2021
Head of teaching, PrincipalAtago Japanese Language School is a Japanese language school that opened in 2019. I was hired there as head of teaching and then principal. While teaching Japanese as a teacher, I strongly felt my responsibility as a principal as a company that runs schools and schools. I'm having so much fun learning learning with Maki sensei! I feel really good when I study my homework and come to class prepared. I am still training my ear to comprehend, but I can tell there is improvement and the time it takes me to understand is shortening over time. I'm grateful to have such a good and patient teacher!

Maki took me as a student as a complete beginner. I don’t understand hiragana or katakana, and within 30 minutes she taught me the sounds of the vowels and why and how hiragana and katakana are used. She was very kind and encouraging and made sure to correct my pronunciation if I was incorrect.
