Megumi

Megumi san is very knowledgeable and super patient :) Every class was a treat and I learned a lot especially how to use more natural expression in Japanese. She not only helps build my grammar skills but also tailor-makes my need before my trip to Japan earlier this year. めぐみさん、いつもありがとうございます！

I couldn't recommend Megumi-san more. Her lessons are customized to the subjects I want to know, and tailored in a way which best fits my method of learning. She's patient, understanding, and able to provide examples and hints to really make the information make sense to me.

I super super love chatting with Megumi-sensei!! She's such an amazing conversationalist that I completely lost track of the time because I was having so much fun chatting with her!! I also really appreciate how she not only corrects what I'm saying but that she also gives suggestions for how to say things more naturally and gives me alternate ways of saying things. That way I always feel like I'm learning so much (grammar, vocab, usage) while also having SO much fun!! 楽しい話をありがとうございます！Looking forward to next lesson as always! :)

I have had about 10 lessons with Megumi sensei so far and something I continue to really appreciate is her ability to adapt a current lesson to my needs. I feel completely free to ask any question that comes to mind, even if it’s off subject, because I know Megumi sensei will be able to help me with it in some way. I also always appreciate the encouragement she gives, it really makes me feel confident that I can leave the classroom setting and practice my Japanese with others.

I’m always amazed by how flexible Megumi Sensei is! She always asks me if I have any questions and no matter my question she is always prepared to with either some material or a short impromptu lesson. I really feel like I can ask anything even if it’s not about the topic. It’s a nice feeling to have and gives me a lot more confidence to practice.

I just had my second lesson with Megumi Sensei and just like the first I felt so confident afterwards. She really has a great way of introducing content and then giving the student the tools to understand/tackle it. She gives very clear examples and then gently walks through how to use the given language point. After the lesson it feels like I’ve left with new knowledge which I’m confident in using in a setting outside of the classroom!
