Hi, everyone. I’m Hikaru.
I’m a native Japanese teacher.
I was born in Saitama and currently live in Malaysia.
My job is to teach Japanese, at the Japanese school, both physically and online.
My hobby is watching anime, drama, playing badminton and hiking.

わたしは埼玉で生まれましたが、今はマレーシアに住んでいます。

My job is to teach Japanese, at the Japanese school, both physically and online.
I have experience teaching from children to adults, from beginners to advanced level .
私の仕事は日本語学校で日本語を教えることです。教室でも、オンラインクラスでも教えたことがあります。
私は子どもから大人までの学生さんに初級から上級までのレベルの日本語を教えたことがあります。我的課程內容與教學風格
I mainly use Japanese in the lesson. However, if you don’t understand Japanese well, I can use English too. Also I’m studying mandarin so I can speak Mandarin a little bit.
My teaching materials are “Minna no Nihongo” textbook, PowerPoint, CD, DVD, news articles and conversation. Please let me know if you would like to use the other textbook.

Hikaru-sensei is very friendly and answered my grammar questions in a way I could understand easily. She was able to teach me dialogue to use in daily real-life situations in Japan. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

今日もいい授業でした。「気がある」、「気がする」、「気にする」っていう言葉を勉強しました。後半に、日本の文化について少し話しました。女性の仕草や相槌に興味があるんですから、沢山の質問がありました。ひかる先生がよく説明してくれて、たくさんの例文も書いました。
心地が良くて、理解出来ましたから嬉しいです。

Hikaru is a really nice teacher, I did a trial lesson with her and she explains things well and allows me to practice so I can get used to the grammar points. I will book again!

the iTalki platform did not perform well. i could not enter the classroom on iTalki. the teacher had to send me a link to use google instead. i would like to send this direct to iTalki management, but no email is available for this purpose!

今回はintroのレッスンなのに、本当に勉強になりました。新しい単語を紹介したし、不自然な日本語を使ってしまう時、ひかる先生は優しく直してくれました。それに、初心者にとして、会話のペースが心地が良かったと思います！

So far, I have had three lessons with Hikaru Sensei and I have really enjoyed all of them. She is very friendly, helpful and always well-prepared. She clearly enjoys teaching. I can't recommend her enough.
