Ciao!😊I'm an Italian native speaker currently living in Liverpool (UK). My main goal is to enable you to reach your full potential while enjoying the process along the way. I’m very passionate about teaching Italian and I specialise in lesson for adults.

After graduating in Foreign Languages and Cultures, I moved to the UK and had different jobs. I worked as a customer service advisor, waitress, translator and public service interpreter. I now work as an Italian teacher and as a background artist for films!

🎯 I aim to create a relaxed environment where the student can feel as comfortable as possible. You're welcome to ask me questions or ask me to reformulate. I take constructive feedback from the students on board. I do believe teaching is a two-way process. I am happy to adapt and customise our lessons based on your level and interests. Also, I can give tips on resources and I'll correct mistakes.
🎓 Qualifications. Bachelor's degree in Translation studies (Languages: English and French), a postgraduate certification in Interpreting and a CEDILS certificate (Teaching Italian as a foreign language certification). Regularly attending webinars to keep up to date with current research.我的課程內容與教學風格

After our first trial lesson, I'll get an idea of your level and plan our lessons accordingly. Depending on what you'd like to focus on, I can help you with your reading, listening, speaking or writing skills.
I take inspiration from several different approaches with a preference for the COMMUNICATIVE approach.

Ilaria is an excellent teacher. She is very patient when I make the same mistakes, and with that patience she corrects me until I stop making them. I like the structure and the feedback notes she given me at the end, so I have something to work on for the next lesson.

I couldn’t make the lesson as I was stuck in a traffic jam on the motorway but Ilaria exchanged messages and voice messages with me so that I was practicing my Italian conversation (and being gently corrected) for the whole lesson time. In the circumstances it was a very good lesson.

Another great lesson with Ilaria. She is very patient when she has to repeat element of the language we have been over several times in the past. Also we looked at an interesting little article about an inspiring nineteenth century Italian woman. Grazie mille.
