Hello! I am a certified teacher from Florida. In addition to my career in the United States, I have lived and taught English as a Second Language at all levels in Panama since 2012. I also teach Business Education, English for Business, and Industry Specific English as well as prepare you for all English Langage standardized testing such as SAT, ACT, TOEFL, and all Cambridge Levels. In addition, I can also help first language English Speakers and proficient 2nd language speakers obtain their TEFL certificate so that they can teach English as well.我的教學經歷
I am a seasoned teacher with a corporate background prior to my teaching career. I not only help you learn and perfect your new language but I also help you learn HOW you learn best. Everyone has their own learning style and that insight can make a huge difference in the ease, speed, and success in your language acquisition. I care about my students and their success. I too am still in the process of improving my second language, Spanish. The process has been so fascinating and exciting to me and it has opened up the entire world for me. I can now travel with confidence that I can communicate most anywhere in the world. (English and Spanish are 2 of the 3 most widely spoken languages.)我的課程內容與教學風格
My teaching style is what is called the Gradual Release Process: "I do, we do, you do". I show you how, we do it together, then you demonstrate what you have learned. In this way, I can be certain that I have presented the material in the best manner for you, the student. If, for whatever reason, you did not grasp it, we go back and redo the process until you do.我的教材

Attendance Specialist, TeacherPrior to teaching, I was an attendance specialist working with at risk you with attendance issues. Once I received my teaching degree I taught mostly in Dropout Prevention including programs with 2nd language English Learners. I took a leave of absense then retired from Florida schools to teach in International Schools in Panama as well as adult professionals and students (High School and University) preparing to take their TOEFL, SAT, and ACT in order to be able to study abroad.
2013 - 2018
Teacher, Exceptional Education SpecialistIn the Oxford School I taught middle, high school, and adult classes in English as a Second Language. Here I was extensively trained in the Cambridge Curriculum which I continue to teach for those students wishing to obtain their Cambridge leveled certifications. In addition, I taught second language English speaking teachers to qualify for their FCE (Cambridge certification to teacher other subjects in English)
2017 - 2019
founderI founded/co-founded these 2 companies. The Language Village is a physical language school that teaches TOEFL, SAT, ACT, Cambridge and English as a Second Language. When I left to form my own company (Open With English), we were in the process of forming another division that would provide Spanish Immersion classes for foreign residents and tourists. O.W.E. is basically the same type of program. Both programs also provide TEFL Certificates.
2017 - 2019
AmbassadorThis is a volunteer position to provide Duolingo events. Mine in both Panama City and Pedasi are English/Spanish language exchange events. In cooperation with Duolingo, we facilitate free fun events so that neighbors, friends, business people, anyone, can gather in a fun environment to practice their new language.

We discussed my draft essay, which I wrote before for my college. Janet helped me to understand my mistakes and explained to me a lot of grammar rules. I also worked on my pronunciation. It was a very informative and interesting lesson. A always trilled about Janet’s constructive feedback and a lot of practical advises. Every lesson I feel very concentrated and confident. After lessons I always inspired until the next lesson.
