I love learning about cultures. I love meeting new people. I love traveling (I've lived in Ireland for three years and a half and visited eighteen countries). I am currently living in Sao Paulo State.
I love sports especially running.
I was a financial and Human Resources Assistant for over 10 years before I started my English teaching career which has been the last 6 years.

I’ve been teaching English since January 2012 where I started at an English School called Wise up, there I taught to adults and teenagers. It was my first experience and I’ve just fallen in love with my new profession since then. Recently I am in a new project teaching kids from 5 to 12 years old in an English School.

Wow, what a great first lesson!! I've already had a lot of great lessons here on italki and I'm all the time grateful for every lesson I have, but this was by far the best I've ever had!! Jo is amazing!! Her energy and passion to teach is positively contagious. It made so much fun to talk to her and even though I'm a beginner in Portuguese I had a great feeling talking to her in a relaxed atmosphere.

I loved my lesson with Jô today. We covered some Brazilian history and used song lyrics to test my listening. We also talked about some grammatical differences between Portuguese and English. Muito obrigada pelo lição ótimo!
