Leonardo

Leonardo was the best teacher I've had on iTalki. He was VERY patient and kept us talking in Portuguese the whole time, with me knowing very little Portuguese. If you want to learn Portuguese fast and have fun doing it, he is the perfect teacher to do so!

As a teacher myself, I'm pretty critical of other teachers' skills. Leonardo knows what he's doing. He speaks clearly and at an appropriate level. He pinpointed my weaknesses (even if I try to hide them), gears lessons towards improving them, and makes recommendations I would also make, were I the teacher. He also offers additional, personalised support, and is always on time. In this lesson, he had me speak the whole hour about my favourite sport (a topic I love to talk about), as speaking is where I need to improve. I learned/refreshed a lot of vocabulary that I will need when I compete in Brazil. Muito obrigado, Leo!

Leonardo é muito conversador e sempre consegue fazer aulas interessantes. Eu sinto que ele sinceramente gosta de conhecer seus estudantes e da suas experiências na vida. Por cima de isso, ele tem um bom sentido de que tipo de assuntos lhe interessam a você e usa esses assuntos para te ensinar português.
