Hi! My name is Mai😊 My husband is from the UK, we’ve been helping the new people who just arrived in Japan for over 10 years. I've also worked for a local International centre, and helped a lot of students and workers from abroad.
So you can learn Japanese language + the real life & culture!
I can give you some advice such as:

- Procedures at City Hall
- International Marriage
NOTE: I'm afraid that I don't handle procedures on your behalf.
My husband and I always talk in English and so I’m used to speaking in English on a daily basis. Even if you are a beginner, you don't need to worry! And I speak Chinese too, I have HSK 4.我的教學經歷
Although I started teaching on iTalki in 2024, I have 10+ years of experience in teaching.
I taught English to junior high and senior high school students at a cram school, and taught English to children at a conversation school for many years.
In 2019, I started my career as a Japanese teacher!
I taught Japanese and Japanese culture at a senior high school in Taiwan which inspired me to start teaching Japanese online. 🇹🇼 🇯🇵
I am currently teaching Japanese online to students from all over the world! I’ve already taught so many lessons on a different online platform, and I joined italki in 2024😊我的課程內容與教學風格

Senior High School Japanese TeacherI had a wonderful experience at a national senior high school in Taiwan. Most of the students were beginners of Japanese language, I taught them not only Hiragana and Katakana, grammar and some useful phrases, but Japanese culture!

I love Mai-sensei’s lesson very much!! She is nice and patient, smiling all the time. She used her original slides which were cute and fun, and the grammar points were very clear. It’s more suitable for online lessons than the real textbooks, I think.
She used both English and Japanese so I didn’t get nervous at all!!! I had a lot of Japanese lessons with different tutors before, but I didn’t really understand the lessons because they used only Japanese, and it was a bit hard to communicate with them. Mai-sensei speaks a very good English so there was no communication problems!
She is the best teacher💕

Mai-san is a great teacher! I enjoyed the lesson! She treats you like a friend, but also is very professional. I’m a beginner but I understood everything, she spoke Japanese clearly. She explained the grammar point in English, which was very helpful! I highly recommend her lessons!!
