Hello everyone,
My name is Hien, from Vietnam. I grew up in Ha Long City and have lived there for more than 20 years. Therefore, the Northern Vietnamese accent which I am comfortable with.
It brings me great joy to know that you have an interest in learning Vietnamese, which is my mother tongue. For me, learning is a great adventure and I'm excited to share my knowledge and experience with you. Join my classes and let's explore the world of language and culture together!我的教學經歷
During my college years, I had the opportunity to volunteer as a Vietnamese language teacher for students from many universities with the Exchange Students Program.
And every weekend, I would go to tourist spots and offer free Vietnamese lessons to travelers to learn basic expressions and phrases to enhance their travel experiences.
It was a rewarding experience for me, I found teaching Vietnamese to be a meaningful and joyful activity, and I fell in love with sharing my language and culture.
By chance, I was introduced to Italki - an amazing platform for teaching and learning language, and I would love to be a part.我的課程內容與教學風格
My teaching style focuses on developing your spoken communication skills. I use a practicing real-life conversation with relevant vocabulary and grammar structures. I incorporate various speaking exercises, provide feedback, and encourage student participation to improve fluency, pronunciation, and intonation. Hien is a very patient yet structured teacher.
She has the rare ability of being able to maintain the lesson
in Vietnamese whilst teaching.
Contextually, the student is able to follow along and
receive maximum learning from the experience.
Leaving behind the crutch of depending on English for explanations,
in favor of building vocabulary and proper sentence structure.
So far she has keyed into, and resolved many of the issues
that I’ve had so far with pronunciation.
And I feel much more confident after having lessons with her.

I am really impressed with Hiền's ability to be patient during class.
I makes a big difference when your teacher is pleasant and always has a smile.
During our class I had so much problems with remembering and pronouncing things properly.
But without fail... Hiền was there for me and guided me through.
