Ikuya-san is an excellent teacher for anyone looking to improve their Japanese in a friendly and welcoming environment. In a short time he was able to adapt our lessons to suit my learning style and needs to great effect. In my case, he has really helped push me beyond my linguistic comfort zone to practice articulating difficult ideas and improving my talking speed while keeping lessons fun and completely stress-free. Thanks to Ikuya-san I’ve made great progress and feel more confident in my Japanese than ever before. I highly recommend Ikuya-san as an exceptional language teacher.

Hey! I've been taking lessons with Ikuya さん for a few months now and I thoroughly enjoy them AND increase my Japanese speaking proficiency. I take lessons with Ikuyaさん because my speaking proficiency has been far below every other area and Ikuyaさん does a great job at creating a comfortable environment to laugh, joke around, and be serious when needed. He celebrates my improvement at the end of each lesson (though it took a while for me to improve). If you want to loosen up and increase your Japanese speaking ability, give Ikuyaさん a shot. It is worth your time, trust me.

I had an excellent first lesson with Ikuya-san. The conversation moved along easily. He asked a lot of fun questions, and made polite corrections as needed. Ikuya-san adjusted quickly to my level and was able to challenge me with new words, which he then recorded for me. I had a lot of fun. It was like meeting with a friend. I highly recommend.

Ikuya-san is very kind and helpful, he takes the time to be sure you understand what’s being said and helps nudge you further along your japanese path. I would definitely recommend him to others.
