I have a TESOL certification, a Teaching English To Young Learners certificate, and over 20 years of experience working with children. I specialize in English lessons for kids ages 4-17. I led music classes for many years before I started teaching English online in 2021. I like having fun with my students, and I believe in positive reinforcement! I have an American accent.
I live in Kentucky in the United States with my dog. My son is in college here.

My lessons combine academic curriculum with constructive games and activities to make learning fun for my students. Much of my curriculum comes from ESL Pals, a website that provides English as a Second Language lesson plans and curriculum for teachers. I also use materials from Teachers Pay Teachers, an online marketplace for educators to buy and sell resources for teaching and learning, and I create some of my materials. My themed lessons are fun and well-organized and include materials from many different sources like ESL Pals. We focus on learning vocabulary and practicing speaking, listening, and reading skills. Contact me for personalized lessons.

✅ An adult must be present with students under 7 for the first lesson.
🕖 30-minute lessons are 25-27 minutes. 45-minute (40-42 minutes) and 60-minute (55-57 minutes) lessons are for intermediate and advanced students. Please ask before booking. Thank you!
💻 Lessons are conducted over ZOOM or VOOV.
🔔 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

Heidi started to work with my 8-year-old daughter a year ago and all I can say is that she is an amazing teacher. The communication parent/teacher has been excellent from the beginning and my daughter is always looking forward to the next class. She improved a lot thanks to Heidi’s work (even her English teacher at school saw the difference regarding her vocabulary, accent and reading).
