I will say Gabriela is the most responsible teacher I have met on italki until now. She will ask your need s and make tailored class every time, her presentation looks very professional and even has the student’s name on it. I think it must take long time to prepare for each lesson. She even sends the after-class notes and her presentation to you, besides that, she provides so many resources you can use for Portuguese study. I don’t have to make extra notes when I had class with her. What she does is even more professional than some “professional teachers” on italki.

Gabriela is a great teacher who has great listening skills. She cares about your interests and evaluates to recognize your areas of improvement. She then strategizes to create lessons that strengthen your areas of improvement. She comes to class prepared having evaluated and listened to your communication of needs and what she feels could help you as a student. Great learning experience.

Gabriela is perfect for the new and nervous student. She creates a relaxed environment. She's talkative, which takes the pressure off while giving you an opportunity to exercise your listening ear, but she also asks questions to give you a chance to practice what you've learning. This was my first session her, and my third on italki, and I have to say, this was the most well rounded class. She's engaging, interactive, encouraging, patient, knowledeable, and just a real pleasure to learn with. I give her the highest recommendation and would strongly encourage other italki users to give her a chance. You will not be disappointed. I look forward to our next, already scheduled session.

I was glad to enjoy my trial lesson with Gabriela! We talked about ways in which the teacher facilitates lessons, with additional material - an easy choice being cultural elements of Brazil! She sent me feedback on items to improve on, and offered homework, not 15 minutes after the lesson. I'm looking forward to continuing to study with her!
