Hi ! I'm Katja and I grew up in Belgium. Currently, I'm living in the city Antwerp. One of my passions is surfing. I grew up at the seaside and I frequently go back to unwind from the city life ;). I have a lot of different interests and I'm never bored. Besides surfing I do African dance, yoga, krav maga, I'm busy with healthy food and lifestyle, communication, languages, animals, wellbeing, ...
I'm open to a lot of different things and I like experimenting with new challenges.

From an early age, I came in contact with various cultures during travelling and having multicultural friends. There I noticed how I love to be in contact with others and how much energy I gained with this. Exploring each other potential is one of my favorite things to do. I like to work constructively and I believe that conversations in other languages flow naturally when your convo partner makes you feel at ease. Your learning process is central here! Therefore I don't blame you if you would only want one class if there is no connection between us. Our class would be like drinking coffee together ;).我提供的课程和我的教学风格
As I describe in my video I'm a good teacher if you mainly want to focus on talking. Knowing how to make a couple sentences is a good start. Along the way, I give you more ways to express yourself. Chit chats about everything are possible. Also important, I'm a good listener, I ask if you want corrections and I try to create dialogue as much as possible.
HOW I TEACH: exercises; talking - reading - grammar - vocab:
While talking I write our conversations down in a mutual document: There you can follow what/how I'm asking, saying and you'll see how you express yourself + in which ways your sentences and words can improve.
At the end of the class, I provide feedback.

Katia is one of the best teacher for Dutch that I have ever seen. I am learning alot during the courses. She is teaching by subjects and I love this way of teaching. She not only corrects my speaking but also she has alway prepared some texts for reading and you will also have some exercises to do as homework. She is a perfect teacher who knows what to do to encourage the students to learn better.

Katja is an amazing teacher! It is very easy to talk to her. Even if you are not in a mood she will find a perfect topic for the conversation. Our conversations are all the time very interesting and the time of the lesson flies.

I really like how informal the lessons are. It allowed flexibility for her to structure lessons to my specific needs. She was also very patient which is necessary when you're thinking of what to say next. She also corrected me when I made mistakes, and she also re-phrased a lot of my Dutch sentences to make them make sense within the language. I believe that I will become a better Dutch speaker from her lessons.
