Once you understand the simple sentence structure all you have to learn and practice are the tones and building sentences. I also recommend to learn the Thai script, because it will let you understand the tone and pronunication of each word.

A little bit about me: although I used to be a doctor, I spent the majority of my professional years as a trainer in the insurance business.
