My name is Fred Kuhr 🏳️🌈, and I'm a dual U.S./Canada citizen 🇨🇦🇺🇸originally from New York City 🌉, now living in Toronto. Having lived in Montreal and travelled throughout Quebec, I speak some French as well as my native English. I'm a former high school English teacher, both in the U.S. and Canada, as well as an award-winning actor, writer and filmmaker. My interests include current events, pop culture, movies, music and physical fitness. In fact, I'm a certified personal trainer and have been working in the fitness industry for over 10 years.Öğretmen Olarak Ben
As a former high school English teacher, I know that you have to meet students where they are and use materials that interest them in order to reach them. I also know that different students learn differently; that is, some respond better to listening while others are better with seeing information. So I like to tailor lessons to individual students depending on what methods will work best and keep students motivated.Derslerim ve öğretme tarzım
My teaching style is upbeat and energetic, injected with humor. I know that if I'm bored, the student will be too. So I can't be boring. Language learning should be fun anyway, since learning a language also unlocks a new culture. I like to use materials that are already out there in the culture - whether that's children's books, magazines, newspapers, movies or music - to showcase culture along with language.
