Hello, everyone! I currently live in Japan and have taught both Japanese and English for more than 7 years.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations. I was born in Japan, but moved to Peru where I lived for more than 15 years. I was raised in a multilingual environment, so I speak Standard Japanese, Spanish and English fluently. During my school days, I have studied Korean, French, Mandarin, German, and more, and I have also studied in South Korea as an exchange student. I love reading, learning languages (currently tackling with Swedish and Polish), and playing with my dog!

In my class, I will help you improve your Japanese speaking skills through free discussions of various topics adapted to your needs. Regardless of your speaking level, I am here to help improve your skills and boost your confidence. If you are a beginner, we can start from basic grammar.

When I started lessons with Watana-san, I couldn't understand any Japanese conversations. After a couple of months of (almost) weekly practice, I can now understand quite a bit. This is a testament to her patience & skill as a mentor. I'm very thankful to have learned a lot from her.
