Hi! My name is Sofia, and I was born in Moscow, the capital of Russia. Therefore, you can be sure that you will hear Russian speech without an accent.
I like to share knowledge, to find new ways to explain some difficult topics. It inspires me when students achieve their goals, discover something new and exciting. I myself really love to learn something new. I like to explore new places, learn a new culture, try new cuisine, and meet new people.
I am still working on my English, and I recently started to study Italian. I am so excited about it! It is very much like a trip to a new country. I am sure that the process of learning a foreign language should be positive and exciting!Öğretmen Olarak Ben
I have a higher musical and pedagogical education, as well as a Ph.D. in Musicology. For about ten years, I teach musical theory, and recently I became interested in teaching Russian and Russian culture for international students.
My first degree helps me a lot with this. After all, language is closely connected with the traditions and culture of the country. Therefore, in my lessons, I explain where a particular word or expression came from. It helps my students to remember and to feel the language better.

My lessons are communication focused. I aim to get you talking as much as possible, while I offer constructive and supportive feedback. I typically make corrections in the chatbox on skype along the way, or we can use a google doc that we will share and apply as an interactive whiteboard.
I myself am studying English and Italian, so I understand many of the difficulties of learning a new language. For this reason, I am flexible and am willing to tailor classes to suit the needs and wants of Russian learners in my classes.

I took a lesson with Sofiya after having a long break (due to being busy with work), and she was just as kind and patient as ever. Very well prepared for the lesson and encourgaging. I recommend her lessons, even for beginners like me!
