Claudia Ordoñez

Claudia is fantastic. I have been studying with her for six months now and it has been a wonderful experience. At the first lesson, we discussed my goals and my style of learning. I asked for full immersion, and she absolutely delivered. No matter my level of vocabulary, Claudia has always been able to communicate in a manner that I understand. Immersion can be difficult, but I find it immensely rewarding. Lessons are not easy, but Claudia is patient and I never feel intimidated to try something new or make a mistakes. I am so happy with my progress and always look forward to our next lesson. ¡Gracias, Claudia!

Claudia is wonderful. She really makes my Daughter Practice the Language. She is very supportive and patient.

Claudia is very good. I am a beginner and she pushes me to be my best and to learn new things while at the same time being supportive and patient with my learning and my mistakes.

They don't get any nicer more patient than Claudia. I appreciate how she is able to let me struggle to express myself but then helps rescue me when I'm clearly overreaching. We improvise on our lessons a lot: she truly does work with you to you find your learning way, focusing on whatever it is you are studying at the time. But, as needed, we have more structured lessons per my request.

Claudia is a kind and encouraging teacher. She remains in Spanish nearly all the time, gently challenging me to do so as well and only switching to English when I'm at an impasse. She was responsive to my sense of frustration with my progress and adapted tonight's lesson accordingly, ensuring that I had some success to encourage me. As part of that, I noticed that she didn't correct EVERY one of my speaking errors, giving me room to focus on one issue at a time. (Thank goodness for that.)

I highly recommend Claudia to beginners to Spanish. This was my third lesson with Claudia and she has all the things I value in a teacher: knowledge of both our languages, patience, encouragement, and friendliness.
