An enjoyable, relaxed and helpful conversation practice with Masa-san.

I'm really enjoying my lessons with Masa sensei. I feel that I am definitely making progress.

Masa-san really lives up to his name and gently guides you through the lesson. My current goal is to transfer some of my skill set from pure input (reading and listening) to also being able to output in preparation for a trip to Japan. During my first session with him we mostly talked about ourselves, our hobbies, book and movie recommendations and we let the conversation flow from there. As others have mentioned, he keeps a shared Google Docs file in which he writes notes about the conversation and highlights mistakes you might have made. This makes it easy to refer to it afterwards to review a session and pick up where we left off. He also asked me whether the level he was speaking at was comprehensible and whether he should speak more slowly or use a simpler vocabulary. Definitely a good first experience!
