【No experience/knowledge required. Absolute beginners are welcome in my class.】 Do you want to understand Japanese animes or dramas without English subtitles? Do you want to listen to J-pop and understand the lyrics? Do you want to speak Japanese with confidence? Do you want to work on JLPT and get some tips? If this sounds like you, you’re in the right place! In order to take the next step to improve your Japanese, you need to do more than just sitting at a desk, staring at your textbook all day long. Instead you might as well study with a native Japanese speaker who has taught over 500 students online in the last few years.

If you are struggling with complicated grammar and pronunciation, I can help you until you fully understand what the problems were. I’m happy to help you with both formal and informal Japanese. You'll definitely be able to speak Japanese with proper manners as well as speak casually, just like the way I talk to my friends in everyday life. During the trial lesson, we'll discuss the aspects of Japanese that you struggle with, and we'll develop a plan for how you'll improve. That way, you'll get to have a good idea for what you'll need to do to get better. Let's work on Japanese language together. We're going to work towards your goals as a team!

My lessons are very practical and I want my students to speak and practice what they've learned as much as possible. When I explain grammar or sentences, I'll definitely make it very simple and easy to understand. If you would like to work from your textbook (such as Genki) or preparation for JLPT, that’s totally fine too! 毎回私の日本語は良くなっています。I will add a few notes in English for beginners: I highly recommend taking lessons with Ken sensei. He is extremely engaged and time just flies while your Japanese improves. He will continuously use more and more Japanese but always manages to hit the sweet spot of "what is just still understandable at your current level", which is proven one of the best methods to boost your comprehension skills. ありがとうございました、Kenさん、月曜日に続きましょう!

Another great lesson! We worked on time, and he incorporated cultural facts into the lesson while teaching me numbers. Very interesting. Somewhat confusing when it comes to a few things, but he readily rectifies the confusion. Can't wait for the next lesson!
