My name is Claudia, I am a certified Instructor of Italian as a Second/Foreign Language and a Cultural Facilitator from Italy. I am a CELTA certified Instructor (Cambridge Assessment English) and I teach English as a Second Language to adult learners of any level of proficiency. I am also a California-certified middle/ high school English Language Arts teacher with a Single Subject Teaching credential in ELA and Italian, and an English Learner Authorization.
Being truly keen on languages and literature, I studied Latin, Greek, German, and Spanish; I also collect hundreds of books, read extensively, and travel as much as I can. I have many other passions, such as music and cooking.Показать перевод

I have been tutoring both in person and online for almost 13 years. I hold a Master’s degree in Philosophy (History of Philosophy and Ethics) and a Master’s degree in Teaching Italian to foreign learners, a Certificate of Proficiency in English C2 (Cambridge Assessment English), and a CELTA certificate for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I also specialized in English Pedagogy and Teaching Reading at the University of California, Riverside.
As a freelance instructor, I developed my teaching materials and refined my passion for e-learning, online platforms, tools, and technologies. This enabled me to deliver a flexible and tailored learning experience to all my students.Мои уроки и стиль преподавания
My work experience ranges from Higher Education, to Adult Education and Middle and Elementary Education.
My teaching philosophy centers on the essential integration of language and culture. I believe mastering Italian is not just about acquiring vocabulary and grammar but also about primarily engaging with the rich cultural contexts that shape the language.
