Kevin López

I wanted to write this in English so that any prospective students can understand just what a fantastic tutor Kevin is. I've had so many tutors (more than 20 I think and I must have had nearly 100 classes) on iTalki and there have been some very good ones. Kevin is BY FAR the best though, and I really can't speak highly enough of him and the help he's given me over the past 6 months or so. Every conversation is completely different to the last and we talk about all sorts of things. He keeps a record of what we do each session so that you can revise and he sends brilliant resources that are fun and useful. Most importantly, Kevin is ALWAYS interested in what you have to say. If you want to improve your Spanish, I can't emphasise enough how much I recommend Kevin!

As well as classes being super fun and organized, I feel Kevin is really helping to accelerate my level of Spanish much faster than I could imagine 😁

I've done lessons with 15 community tutors in italki and Kevin is among the best that I've found. He's a good conversationalist, offers feedback and corrections without breaking the flow of conversation, and is interesting to talk to.

I had a fantastic first lesson with Kevin. It was one of my first conversations ever in Spanish and Kevin was very patient and understanding of my lack of vocabulary. Really looking forward to the next lesson!

Kevin is so patient and calm. What’s fantastic about him is that he’s easy to reach and quick to answer questions outside class. I like his teaching style—straightforward and knowledgeable. Not only does he ask me questions, but he lets me ask about him, too, so it feels like a little icebreaker session. He’s good at giving corrections in a constructive yet kind manner, and he explains them to you verbally and visually, which I find super beneficial with how the document is organized. His detailed feedback is ideal for those who prefer seeing expanded details beyond the single-word corrections. When students are intermediate+, tutors tend to let many mistakes slide, so I’ve been looking for someone who is not lazy at giving feedback, and here he is. What a rare find!

Kevin provides creative activities to stimulate the brain and improve speaking skills , he gives clues and hints before giving the answer if I am stuck on an answer. He is organized and very thorough.
