Hey, it is so good to meet you!
My name is Gil, and I started my academic journey at the University of New Haven, CT, as an international student having a fantastic time and exploring college life. I'm currently a Philosophy and Cinematography Major at Tel Aviv University.
I love almost all kinds of sports, reading and of course, music is a big part of my life. I'm playing all sorts of instruments like classical piano and guitar, and I also love singing and meditating. I taught Hebrew and the Bible (Old Testament) as an assistant teacher in high school for students with learning disabilities in Israel. I was preparing them for the national matriculation exams. I'm a great advocate of positive reinforcement, meaning- going with the flow of the student. I believe that the best way of learning anything is by emotion. What I mean by this is that if something, for example, made you laugh, made you scared, angry, or caused any feeling to rise, there's a good chance you'd remember it. So my approach is through music, and Tv series that are easily accessible, we can go through the lyrics, lines and such and have a lot of fun learning the language instead of doing a lot of work. It is a very efficient way of advancing. Of course, if you have homework in school or exams or any bible reading you want to go through in Hebrew, I can be in great assistance as well.Meu material de ensino

It was my first lesson with Gil and I'm surprised how much I learned from him just in one hour. Gil is very patient, which is very nice since I'm a beginner. He wrote down all the words that are new to me, so that I could look them up later. And he is very friendly and fun, so the learning process is very enjoyable. Excellent lesson! Thank you, Gil!

Loved my lesson with Gil! He is very kind, knowledgeable, and a great conversationalist. I enjoyed my time talking in modern Hebrew while reading some of Isaiah and Perkei Avot in Hebrew.
