It's always a pleasure to see the progress my students make.

I also pay attention to details such as absolutely correct grammar and orthography. That doesn't mean, however, that my lessons are dry. I'm always ready for a joke to make a lesson fun. My students also appreciate my famous drawings that explain a language problem in a fun and easy-to-remember way. That's why my students call me Markus Picasso. You can study any level with me, even Telc exam preparations (I'm an official Telc exam expert).

I love sharing knowledge and ideas. I have been teaching and learning on italki for almost two years now. My specialty are 'General German' and 'Conversation Practice'. As a teacher, I create a friendly atmosphere where you feel comfortable and have the opportunity to speak a lot in German. I would love to know about topics that interest you and consider them in my preparation of the class. 3) Speak as much German as possible: You have to get used to the structure, the sound and the rhythm of the language. That's why I want to encourage you that we speak as much German as possible during the class.

I have taught German and English in several different circumstances. During my early internships in China I organized basic German and business level English trainings. In the German Chamber of Commerce, I was also involved in editing a yearly bi-language training brochure for special trainings in Shanghai. But I also taught English and German for a year in kindergarten, where I focused on fun in acquiring a new language. In Germany I mainly taught German privately, mainly focusing on the Testdaf-exam but also the German high school-diploma Abitur. Occasionally, I also prepared students for the TOEFL-Exam.

For those whose level is not good enough yet for a proper conversation, I'll teach you grammar and vocabulary to get you started. I have a postgraduate teaching qualification from the Goetheinstitut but more important I have been learning and teaching languages nearly all my life so I have experienced both sides. Living abroad and talk another language can be difficult but also fun once you get a better understanding how the language works.

I want to help you to improve your spoken Swiss German or German and of course also your listening. I know what it is like to learn a new language and the most important is that you can practice as much as you can. I finished the professional development programme DLL at the Goethe Institute in Germany, with the aim of expanding my skills and knowledge in the German teaching field.
