My style is mostly conversational. I am interested in my students learning how to have everyday conversations in English, Kikuyu, or Swahili and eventually how to read and write.

Miriam provides excellent structure for our lessons and has done a great job starting me off on this beautiful language. I have zero experience with Swahili and she has shown incredible patience for my lack of talent, and I look forward to my next lesson with her.

Miriam is fantastic as always! She has done a wonderful job bringing me through the very beginning stages of Swahili, from knowing absolutely nothing about the language to now where I can form very basic sentences. She keeps our lessons very focused and productive for the entire duration. As always, looking forward to our next meeting!
