Laura Cavazzani

Laura is an excellent teacher. Knowledgeable, completely trilingual in Portugues, English and Spanish and able to 'scaffold' the student's knowledge to allow conversations to flow while leaving notes for the student to study after the lesson; that is, the lesson itself is not all that one benefits from Laura's conversations. I have worked with many very good ITalki tutors. Laura is one of the very best. She is a pleasure to work with and advances the student's language knowledge. I highly recommended Laura to any level of language learner.

Laura is an amazing teacher! I had many teachers before her but I didn’t feel like my Portuguese was improving, but since having classes with Laura, I can see a huge difference! I don’t translate from Spanish into Portuguese anymore, I just speak in Portuguese without translating in my mind! I feel much more confident speaking now and it’s all thanks to Laura ☺️ she creates a really safe environment where I have lost my fear of making mistakes ☺️ obrigadaaa 🥰

Laura is an excellent italki teacher! Since I am a very beginner in learning Brazilian Portuguese, it helps that she speaks English fluently. While I would like to eventually be able to conduct our lessons in the near future entirely in BP, at this level it would be frustrating to try to communicate with someone who does not speak the same language as me. My progress is faster this way, as she is able to explain nuances of vocabulary/gramma/culture to me. Rather than formal written textbook Portuguese, Laura's focus is on informal, spoken Portuguese in order for me to understand the language as it is spoken.
