I encourage my students to talk a lot during the lessons, but that doesn’t mean we will be just chatting. When the lessons is over, you’ll have learnt something new and be confident in using them in the real situations.
If you don't have any specific requests, we can use materials from textbooks to start with. I will be asking level appropriate questions, so don't worry if you are not so confident with your language skills.

First official lesson with Aya sensei. Aya sensei is a Cambridge CELTA-qualified teacher who is very good at engaging students using well-graded questions. Her approach is highly student-centred, allowing me plenty of opportunities to practise listening and speaking.

Aya-san is one of the best teachers I’ve had! She is very patient, even when I’m making mistakes. She answers all my questions! We’ve had 6 lessons and I already feel like I can say many things in Japanese:)
