Hello! this is Karman from Hong Kong. Apart from working as an English teacher, I also had experience working as a freelance interpreter, translator and editor. My native language is Cantonese, and I can speak Mandarin fluently. As an experienced second language learner myself, I believe I am well aware of the challenges of picking up a new language. I have an honour degree in Education, major in English language teaching. I lived in England for over 5 years and worked for various companies. I started teaching English as a second language many years ago, and have gained experience conducting various types of lessons to students at all levels, including speaking and communicative classes, and one-to-one tutorials for workplace communication.Moje lekcje & Styl nauczania
My lessons are going to be student-oriented and engaging. The teaching materials will be tailor-made and carefully chosen to cater for your needs and objectives. Also, the lessons are going to make use of various types of authentic materials, including podcast, music, TV series, newspaper and news articles. I will employ different kinds of teaching methodology in our lessons, including role-play, practice of interactions in some daily-life contexts, learning grammar in an interesting way and putting forward your arguments in writing.

I've been having weekly lessons with Karman for almost 4 months now. I have ADHD so my learning style is pretty unique and a traditional classroom lesson doesn't work well for me. Karman has always been very accommodating and made sure the lessons are fun, useful and work with my learning style.

Karman is a great teacher who makes engaging classes. Sometimes the classes are about a specific topic and so the vocabulary follows a theme. Sometimes there are games that get you to use or learn new vocabulary, or to get you to practice speaking more. The lessons are definitely more interactive than a textbook and focuses on practical use. She is also great at explaining how to sound more native, correcting how you speak and also making you practice so that it will stick.
