Tomoe

I was looking for help planning a trip to the Kansai area and Tomoe先生 went above and beyond. She asked lots of questions before our lesson to get a sense of what we like to do and then gave me so many ideas. But it wasn't just a bunch of random suggestions and destinations, she explained which were her favorites and why she'd recommend this place over another. I have so many links open on my computer to explore further. Once I've come up with a plan based on her ideas, I'm going to meet with her again to make sure it makes sense. I wasn't very excited about spending my Saturday evening this way but actually it was the most fun I've had in a while! I think Tomoe先生 would be a really fun teacher for free conversation classes too, and could probably make even the driest grammar point interesting.

We had a great lesson and mostly spoke only Japanese during the entire lesson. It made me feel very confident in my abilities. You also corrected my Japanese pronunciations, or grammar and no other teacher on italki has done that. Very helpful. I look forward to our next lesson.

The lesson was the final practice for an upcoming job interview. Tomoe-san clearly summarized the key points of an interview and made very helpful suggestions to emphasize my strong points at the time of the interview!

Tomoe-sensei was great. She was easy to talk with, and taught with a good balance of making the lessons fun and challenging.
