I use a communicative approach since I think the main purpose of language is communication. I based my classes on common topics, using useful vocabulary with mnemonic examples that will help the students retain the content. It is fascinating to talk with Ambiorix, who has a broad understanding of history, language, and the interplay of language, history, politics, religion, etc. He makes you think about different countries, but always in a pleasant and thoughtful way.
