Kei Japanese Teacher

先生、今日もありがとうございました‼️ Today we went through my homework, focusing on questions that I got wrong/the ones I had questions for. We also managed to do some short passage reading in the last 10min or so. Kei-sensei’s lessons are always very engaging and helps me to think. He would always ask me why i chose answer xx and it would force me to reflect (esp for reading). I do that when I study as well but having someone to point you in the right direction is important; Especially so for grammar when they start to mean the same thing, with only slight differences in nuance. 3slides of homework again 🫡

Kei先生のクラスは面白いです！

My first lesson with Kei was excellent! He spent time before the lesson learning about my goals, and was very helpful during the lesson putting them into action. He even simulated an entire interview in Japanese for me. He was professional and responsive, but also very kind and helpful. I will definitely be booking lessons with Kei in the very near future.

先生今日もありがとうございました。as usual we start with conversation and then move on to the main topic of the day. Sensei went through the homework and gave detailed explanation. He also prepared more textbook practices for grammar and reading. When going through the grammar points for some questions, he provided more example sentences and asked me to form my own. I still need a lot more practice for reading, but for now I’ll aim at 3min for the first two reading questions (short text) as suggested by sensei. 3slides of homework for this week, I’m ok with it as it’s not a lot to do.

先生今回もありがとうございました。sensei always starts class by asking how was my week which I felt was really helpful with conversing. I still really need to work on using Keigo but that’s on my part 😂 for this class, sensei prepared a lot of jlpt questions to identify my standing, and to see where my issue was. There are 3 slides of homework, I didn’t feel it was a lot compared to my own study routine.

I requested for Keigo practices and sensei prepared several slides full of them. At the end of it, we were able to put what I’ve learnt so far , using all the Keigo in my work situation (phone calls, speaking with higher ups, reception). It was a good review to all the Keigo I knew, and was able to clarify some that I saw which has always been a ?? to me. Sensei is always very encouraging throughout, and listens patiently 😂 I am very grateful for that. Looking forward to learning new things all the time 😌👍
