My name is Deidre and I am 23 years old. I was born and raised in Suriname, a former colony of the Netherlands, where Dutch also is the main language.
I have a wide variety of interests such as: history, music, DIY projects, geology, design, fashion, nature and more. So we could talk about any topic during the lessons.
I am improving my Spanish right now and I want you to feel comfortable because I know the struggle of learning a new language.Ik als leerkracht
I do voluntary teaching work in Dutch and Spanish. My students or from different ages which helps me to be flexible and adaptive.

I am very flexible when it comes to teaching methods. It totally depends on the way you like it. We could be doing conversational skills with dialogues or grammar and pronunciation. We could also learn the accent with the use of audio files. The most important thing is that we can connect and the lessons are interactive in an informal and pleasant way.
You may choose the topic for each lesson and I will prepare it. It could be anything that interests you from music to news, art or sports. You name it and we will have fun with it.Mijn lesmateriaal

Deidre was very polite and comprehensive with the fact that I am just at the beginning of my learning journey. She supported me each time I tried gto say somethign in dutch and allowed me to practice my listening comprehension by speaking dutch as much as possible, as I told her that that was my goal. Even though I asked for the lesson just 1 day before, she already had some material prepared to start practicing in a more organized way. I hope next time we will continue going through the book we used today and try to chit chat a little bit more (or at least as much as I can). Dank je wel en tot ziens!
