My name is Jean-François. I am haitian. I've been working as a language teacher for 4 years. I teach haitian creole, French and portuguese. I speak Spanish and English too and I'm learning Italian right now. I have a solid background in applied linguistics. I also work as a translator and an interpreter.

I am a teacher that can adapt his method to the needs of my students. I use an interactive method bases on communication. My students have to be able to read, write, listen and speak the language that they learn. I am here to help them achieve that goal.

My teaching style will depend on my students needs and levels. For my basic students, I use a method of total immersion to help them to be able to use and understand the language very quickly. For my intermediate students, the most important is to be consolidate all the skills that they already have in the languague. For my advanced students, I work to perfect their ability and be capable to use fluently the language.

He's fantastic! I have been taking lessons with Jean-Francois for several months and I love his method, personality, and his work ethic. He makes great corrections to your grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary so that you can become the best French speaker you can be!

My class with Jean-François was excellent! Today's class was conversational. I learned a lot of new words and phrases that I can easily use in conversation. I also learned and practiced how to correctly pronounce those new words. I feel like my Portuguese is getting better every time I have class with him, thanks to the material given to me to do on my own as homework. Thanks for a really great class!

These lessons have been wonderful. Jean-François is extremely knowledgeable and can explain grammar well. He's also easy to talk to with and puts info into the chat to expand my vocabulary. I have requested he correct my accent and he does that that without interrupting the flow if the lesson. I recommend his lessons to anyone at any level who wants to improve.
