Do you know which one can speak the more natural Japanese: a blind person or a deaf person? This difference is very important in Japanese learning. It is a learner's weakness.
I learned Speech Therapy, Linguistics(言語学)Phonetics(音声学)and Swallowing at school for 3 years.
First of all, my method is based on sound, repetition, and response. I break down Japanese complicated sentences into small building blocks which help you to both understand quicker and be able to engage in conversation faster as well. The repetition out loud really does help you to remember new vocabulary and leads to the ability to form native-like Japanese responses quickly. You're warmly welcome! (*^▽^*)
Ik als leerkracht
You practice to create a good “sound foundation” from which to build upon. Even if you don’t understand the meaning of what you are saying in the beginning, I help you to improve the sound first, and then I explain the meaning in Japanese and English using props, scenarios, and examples. I have a lot of tips to improve your Japanese. (*^▽^*)(sound→phrase→grammar, etc)
- Customised lessons according to your objectives
- Focusing on practcing your Japanese you don't notice well
- Daily conversation/Business level

THE-BEST-LESSONS. Pages of self-made learning materials. Action figures and other goods purchased expressly for making lessons more interesting. Obsessive attention to detail on his end while being extremely flexible with you. On time like a Japanese train. Respectfulness to a level most people I know can't acheive. Fun, funny, and good-natured. I cannot even begin to describe the amazing person that is Takeshi-san. Be prepared for the best Japanese lessons you could possibly hope for.

Learning Japanese as an English speaker can be challenging, especially because the two languages aren't directly comparable. The sound and intonation in Japanese are entirely different from English, and this isn't something you can fully grasp from a textbook or by trying to judge your own speech without understanding the fundamental differences. Recognizing this "gap" is crucial, as it not only makes you easier to understand but also helps you better comprehend what others are saying.
This teacher excels in bridging that gap. They provide visual cues that serve as mnemonic aids, helping you remember the correct pronunciation and intonation. It's a challenging and time-consuming process, but time will pass regardless. You can either commit to learning and accept that it requires effort, or you can choose not to. If you're serious about your studies and seeking deep insights, I highly recommend this teacher. The investment is truly worthwhile.

This was my first lesson with Takeshi-san. Do not expect any traditional teaching style! :) Instead, Takeshi-san is really focused on the phonetics and makes you repeat the sounds until you get it the closest possible to the Japanese pronunciation. We started with letters, then syllabes, only after he made me pronounce some very short phrases. He uses anime figures to explain how Japanese language should and should not sound. His explanation is very clear. He really cares about your right pronunciation and intonation. Knowing vocabulary and grammar does not make one's Japanese automatically understandable. The way one pronounce the sentences can even make him sound rude. Very interesting lesson! Takeshi-san, ありがとうございました!:)
