Hello everybody, I've been teaching Portuguese as a second language for about 9 years and the nicest thing is when I can see my students improving.
I'm a 29 year-old Brazilian, actress, Journalist and artist.
I taught english for 2 years and a half, including almost a year teaching in Turkey (2015). I graduated in Communication and have studied linguistics, with a particular focus on phonetics - so if you feel you're stagnant on the language, or maybe you're having trouble with pronunciation, or want to perfect your pronunciation, or strengthen your ability to communicate and build track of thought talk to me.

I'm fun and easy going but at the same time I wont let you get away with sloppy Portuguese. I care about details and a good pronunciation is as important as a good vocabulary and discourse coherence and cohesion.Certificaten

I LOVED my lesson with Rafaela! My whole night got thrown off and this was the last of a few back-to-back meetings. She rolled with it and jumped into a lesson that challenged me (I get very self-conscious about speaking Portuguese) and was also a lot of fun. She spoke largely in Portuguese, repeating certain phrases (which I then learned in addition to the actual lesson). I got the feeling that I could get along well with Rafaela as well as learn a ton from her. I would highly recommend scheduling a session with her!

Rafaela is dream-come-true teacher. She has a loooot of amazing and incredible interesting tasks and she's also has inner fire to teach, so I can feel this energy through my class and even after: smiling and waiting to new class to come. This has been my first lesson with Rafaela, and I can tell that it could not have been a better start. She is, above all, highly enthusiastic, and does not treat her adult student as a 10 year old (unfortunately, something very common in language training). I will be definitely repeating and take regular sessions with her. Sound and pronunciation are key for my understanding and appreciation of languages, and Rafaela's focus on accuracy in this department is outstanding for my instruction. Muito brigado, Rafaela!

Rafaela is a fantastic teacher. Our lessons are very spontaneous which I very much enjoy. Each lesson is completely different. I feel I am able to make mistakes without being ridiculed and Rafaela always corrects me in a positive manner. I really enjoy our lessons and my level of Portuguese has improved significantly since I started working with her. I would highly recommend Rafaela to anybody wanting to learn or improve their Portuguese. Muito Obrigado!!!!!!

I thoroughly enjoy my classes with Rafaela. Rafaela always discusses topics that I am interested in which keeps me engaged. I always look forward to her classes and would highly recommend her to anybody who wants to learn Portuguese.
