My friend Danny and I have been taking lessons with Mel-san for a over year now. She is an amazing teacher!!!!! She is always incredibly patient and kind no matter how many mistakes we make. Whenever our studies falter when life gets busy, she is always so understanding and willing to work at any pace. Mel-san will also teach native Japanese grammar or phrases that the textbooks can be outdated on. She is good at creating a fun, but productive environment for learning. We've loved classes with Mel-san!!!!

I have been taking Japanese lessons with Mel-sensei for about a year and a half, and I would never have made the progress I have without her patient and kind help. She's a wonderful teacher and a kind and patient person, and I recommend her highly!

Mel 先生 is a really patient and wonderful teacher. Her emphasis on conversational skills has been tremendously helpful in training my brain to become more comfortable and better at using what I’ve learned. Her pacing is also great; I never feel rushed to move past points that I haven’t quite grasped yet. Thank you for another great lesson!

Mel is exactly the kind of teacher I have been looking for. I need someone that can work in an unstructured environment and adapt to my learning needs. Looking forward to my next lesson.

Had my first lesson with Mel先生 today! She is so nice and patient even when I was so rusty and kept tripping over grammar points and vocabulary. She picked up on my level quickly and challenged me appropriately. I had a lot of fun and look forward to learning Japanese with her!!
