She was very sweet and understanding of what my goals were. I would recommend her to anybody

Nami was very friendly and patient, so as the class went on I felt more confident to speak in Japanese with her! She asked lots of questions which was perfect for me because I struggle to think of answers quickly so this was the best practice and she was very helpful when teaching me new phrases that I struggled with. If you’re a little shy and nervous about speaking Japanese then Nami is the perfect teacher for you!

My first lesson with Nami-san was very pleasant and helpful. This was the most comfortable I have felt during a italki lesson. I am quite shy but she made me feel comfortable with my current level of Japanese, and patiently explained anything I didn’t understand (and provided notes for the new words). I am looking forward to taking more classes and I’m sure I will learn a lot 🙂

Nami sensei quickly adapted to my level of Japanese and she made me feel a lot more competent than I am! I felt comfortable being wrong and she gave me suggestions and new vocabulary from the jump. I had a feeling about this instructor when I was searching around and I’m glad I trusted my gut. She’s easy to talk to, straight forward and patient. If you’re considering, definitely try her out!
