Hello everyone! I'm Sylwia and I'm happy to be your Polish teacher!
I was born in the south of Poland and have always been interested in foreign languages and cultures. When I was a teenager, my family moved to Germany, where I studied linguistics. After that I worked in many different fields, but in 2024 I decided to move to Vietnam. At the moment I'm teaching German at a language school in Ho Chi Minh, but I miss my mother tongue!
In my free time I love to travel, discover new places and new food. I like films and books and would love to hear your recommendations.Ik als leerkracht
As an English teacher in kindergartens, I had a set curriculum and focused on games. Now that I teach German to teenagers and adults, I use language books, but I can adapt the lessons more to individual preferences and abilities, which I like much more.
For my Polish lessons, I want you to feel like you're having a conversation with any Polish person. I want you to feel comfortable and confident, as if you're talking to a friend. Of course we will learn some grammar so that you will be able to form sentences on your own, but my main aim is to make you feel confident in speaking.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I think the best way to teach is to adapt to the needs of the learner. We will discuss your level and goals and tailor the lessons for you. We can work with written exercises, focus on speaking only, aim for better grammar or mix it all together.
Having had to live in a foreign country and learn the language on my own, I know how frustrating it can be. I would like to help you on your path to learning Polish in a fun way!5.0
