Tuve problemas con mi computadora y el profesor Hermenegildo fue muy paciente conmigo y hasta se quedo tiempo extra enseñándome. Es muy buen profesor y se asegura siempre de que haya entendido todo. Muchas gracias yachachiq!

Today Hermenegildo showed me pictures and described (mostly in Quechua) how they make offerings to the Pachamama in his community. He explained the symbolism of the white flags they carry, of the red ponchos they wear, and the ritual they perform on a mountaintop above his community. As always, he spoke clearly and answered my questions when I didn't understand. He's a great communicator of the Andean Cosmovision and of local traditions. I always enjoy talking with him, learning more Quechua and more about the culture.

Excellent classes from a knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher. The classes are engaging and a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend Hermenegildos classes.

Hermenegildo spoke with me from Moray today, on his birthday! As always, he had lots of interesting things to say (mostly in Quechua) about his people, their history, culture and language. For me it is so nice to learn about these things directly from a very knowledgeable and articulate source like him. As always, I look forward to our next lesson, and to meeting him in person someday!
