Fun lesson. Cherry knows how to feel my linguistics needs and cater for them regardless of the contents of the book. This makes for very intellectually stimulating exchanges which clearly boost my motivation.

Used an easily available Burmese instructional manual, which was helpful. Good judgement about when to introduce new concepts to a beginner. Speaks English well. Very good first session.

Today, we focused mainly on reading comprehension, which is exactly what I need most. I could tell Cherry put a lot of thought into slowing the pace of our lessons down, and incorporating reading practice into lessons, in order to ensure my reading stays up to par with other skills (speaking, listening, etc.). Great lesson!

I really appreciate Cherry's commitment to patiently using Burmese even when I don't understand what she is saying. So many teachers slip into English right away rather than just thinking creatively. Also I am very specific about what makes a good lesson for me, and I really appreciated her willingness to engage based on my style of learning. She is great!
