Hi! My name is Judith, a Dutch woman located in Bali (+6 hours Europe time) for most of the year after traveling and living in different countries for 3 years. I studied Interdisciplinary Social Science followed by a masters in Youth Studies in Utrecht. After that I worked for 4 years for the local government and also a public health organization. Living in Bali allows me to live my life to the fullest and make friends from all over the world. I love meeting new people with different backgrounds and cultures, that's one of the reasons why I started teaching Dutch. Other interests of mine are photography, padel, strength training, reading, listening to podcasts, and learning new languages.Ik als leerkracht
I am a very personal and happy teacher. I love to make learning fun and interactive. I like to take it step by step and focus on one or maybe two things at the time. As a teacher I am very patient. I also love to hear about your life and share about my own! Everyone has a story to tell. We can talk about anything: news, television shows, technology, psychology, podcasts, traveling, relationships/dating/parenting, or other topics that interests you.Mijn lessen en manier van lesgeven
I am happy to work towards your language goals using different tools, like PDF files, podcasts, news articles or videos. You can book me for a single class where we practice a casual conversation, or we work together for a longer period to work towards your learning goals. I teach both students and adults. I provide extensive feedback and I give you small homework assignments to measure your progress and to see what we can work on next lesson. Starting June 1st 2023 I will be available European mornings (7AM - 2PM) due to time difference (Singapore time zone). From this date onwards I am available 5 days a week. Judith is so good at answering my questions and encouraging me to explore different topics of interest. She goes out of her way to find readings and lessons about the niche topics I express interest in. I always look forward to our lessons and getting to work on my pronunciation and sentence structure. I feel like I have made so much progress since working with her and look forward to continuing to learn!

Judith paces each lesson perfectly! Not only do I accomplish many of my language learning goals, but I also am encouraged to use Dutch in a meaningful way.
Judith motivates me to persevere through challenging language tasks and helps me process the necessary steps needed to not only tackle difficult concepts but also to help me manage my learning in a purposeful way.
