This has been a great first lesson. I come with about two years of Swahili experience at approximately the A2 level, and I was worried about the quality of the lesson from past experiences.Mwalimu Jacinta ni bora! We jumped right into an assessment of my current knowledge and engaged in short conversations in the lesson. Lastly she provided me with a test of the first day. I would recommend her to anyone on italki!

I have been sick this week and Jacinta very understanding and encouraging. Jacinta shows examples of words introduced and puts them in context. She genuinely enjoys teaching.

Today, I was a little under the weather; however, Jacinta was sensitive to ask if I thought I could go full hour. I appreciate her concern and many examples incorporated the change in my own demeanor, activities for the day,etc. Feeling ill introduced many new words. Admittedly, I felt much better after class.
