I'm an Animation graduate and translator who loves film 🎥🎵
My passion is to discover the world through words and images. I *love* dogs and cats, music, and anything that has to do with good stories! Maybe that is why I love languages so much?지도 경험
I am patient, flexible, and creative. I love to teach through conversation and sentence patterns. I'm always open to suggestions, and I'm constantly motivated by students who ask lots of questions! I always try to understand what my students are trying to say before correcting them- sometimes you just need a nudge in the right direction to understand things by yourself :)내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I mostly teach through conversation, though I usually give grammar pointers when I think it's the right moment to study the topic. I usually ask students what they think they need to study, and we start by discussing that. If I notice there's another (more basic) skill or information that they're missing, and that is keeping them from improving, I'll address that topic too.
I adjust to whatever the student needs, as I believe that being aware of the different learning styles is key to achieve goals most efficiently.

Had a fantastic lesson. Mariana is so great at giving examples and making complicated ideas make sense. I have such a better grasp now on por and para and when to use estaba or estuvo. Excited for our next lesson.

Mariana is friendly and enthusiastic about improving a student’s fluency. She is excellent at keeping a conversation flowing when a student is stuck or trying to move on to another subject. She will type out key phrases that a student has trouble with and she gives out a lot of great recommendations to improve. I highly recommend Mariana for first-time or returning italki users because I felt comfortable asking her to repeat herself and asking her lots of questions. I am looking forward to my next lesson with her.
