Alice 雅雅 yǎ yǎ

Been a student of Alice since 2018 when i first met her when i went to China to study at a language school for 6 weeks. During that time my learning was supercharged. I have been a student of hers online now for almost 5 years. She still brings that skill and preparedness to online lessons. My understanding of the Chinese language I credit almost entirely to her. An excellent teacher who I still look forward to having weekly lessons with even after all these years.

Another great session. I also feel like we’re opening up to each other more. I let her know about my family, and holiday plans, and American culture and we had a short but fun conversation about it. She continues to push to speak, and also to memorizing past lecture material. I love how she allows me to attempt to speak, and then corrects me after the fact …because I find myself correcting my speech each each time I try. I love her classes and I’m excited to see how far I get with the Chinese language learning with her.

Alice is one of the best teacher I ever had. I have changed language teachers with other language in italki. But I never changed in Mandarin. Fortunately, I found Alice 1st when learning Mandarin. She really care about my Mandarin learning. As requested by me, she corrects my tones. She helps me with my HSK preparation, make sure I can say out the sentences aloud, send me Quizlets to review what we studied & encourages me to speak in Mandarin. I have seen great improvements is my Mandarin especially. I just passed my HSK 3 just 2 months ago.

Alice is the best chinese teacher I had the chance to encounter. Her teaching methods are varied and evolve according to the student needs. She's very helpful in helping learn the language, but also the culture, geography and history all together. 谢谢你，我非常喜欢我们的课
