Nadia Canicio

This was my first lesson with Nadia (half hour). Nadia is a very nice person and the good thing is that her English is not perfect, and I couldn't use English every time I miss some words, to make her understand me. I had to use French and that is very good way to learn. Coversation with her look like very common life situation and it is the good way to learn through an experience, when support line doesn’t exist, and when we have to rely on our knowledge to understand and to be understood. Of course, I will take more lessons with her.

During this first lesson we had general conversation and discussed learning goals. Nadia makes good corrections, is adaptive to the student, has very good accent and delivery, and is warm and charming. This is the first lesson I have taken on italki and I can say I am very happy with the experience. I look forward to our next lesson. Thank you Nadia.

Nadia was patient and engaging, giving me ample opportunities to talk (the reason I had the lesson), and encouraging me throughout the lesson. This is only the 2nd lesson I've had with Italki and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The time passed very quickly, and although it was very hard for me to think/speak in French, Nadia made me feel comfortable and welcome. I was nervous and a bit afraid before we started, because I struggle with feeling quite unintelligent when trying to speak French, but Nadia made all of that disappear. I'm so grateful and encouraged to have more conversation sessions! I encourage anyone sitting on the fence to at least try a trail lesson--break out of your comfort zone and give it a shot! I'm inspired more than ever to continue my studies.
