I'm a community tutor, which means I'll function kind of like a conversation partner for you, and we can pick any kind of topic and either talk about it, or go through any kind of media concerning the topic. I'm passionate about languages and travelling, but of course I'm open to talk with you about any subject you'd prefer.

Whatever your goals are, I'll do everything I can to help you reach them :) As a teacher, my aim is to encourage you, be patient, and understanding. My main goal is to help you learn a language effectively and at your own pace, while also enjoying the entirety of the process. Having fun is part of learning too :) Still, an important part of mastering any language, is the amount of effort you put in. Not just in terms of the lessons themselves, but the work you do outside them. That could be reading, listening to podcasts or watching TV shows. Just taking lessons will make the road to mastering either Norwegian or English arduous.

As a teacher I focus on creating a comfortable atmosphere for the student, where you can make mistakes without worrying. I like to have informal conversations about whatever the student wants to talk about, of course in Norwegian. Any speaking practice is good!

As a teacher here on ITALKI i prefer a style with lots of flexibility where I try my best to meet my clients needs and wishes. Certified Italian/Norwegian teacher with more than15 years teaching experience I am a friendly teacher and i base my lessons on original materials (books, poetry, conversation, video/files) and try to speak as much as possible in the language you study, according to your level. I am fond of the deductive process of learning a language: from the text to the rules (and not the other way round) I have plenty of authentic material with me that we can use for our lesson, including pictures, poetries, talk show... depending on your interests and level too. I try to keep the lesson useful and interesting, and most important never boring as learning a new language must be in the very first place FUN !

I have my teaching degree from Norway and worked as a teacher in Norway after I graduated from college. I also worked several years in the USA as a teacher teaching grades 1-3. Since 2012 I have worked as a Norwegian teacher at Madison College in Madison Wisconsin. I also teach Norwegian for the US Air Force online and do Norwegian tutoring in person and online.
