I’ve taken lessons with Soo for over two months now, and she is a great teacher! What I like the most about her teaching is how structured each lesson is, so we cover a lot in a short amount of time. I learn dozens of new vocab in just one hour. And by “learning”, I mean that 쑤선생님 not only teaches me the meaning of each word, but also its usage with lots of example sentences. I also practice using the new words myself. 쑤선생님 also teaches by dissecting the clauses of complex sentences. Sometimes it's difficult for me to grasp the meaning of long sentences, but 쑤선생님 helps me break such sentences into manageable chunks that I can understand individually, and then we put the pieces back together to understand the whole sentence with clarity. 쑤 선생님's methods are efficient, effective, and enjoyable. I recommend her!

Ssoo was super focused the whole lesson making sure we get through as much as possible but definitely making sure we get some repetition in so it sticks.

Today, we read two articles about technology news. 쑤 선생님 took me through the vocabulary for each article, giving simple yet comprehensive explanations and lots of examples for each word. She also had me come up with sentences of my own. When I had trouble putting what I wanted to say into Korean, she quickly figured out what it was I was trying to get at and found a natural way to say it. It was another fun and effective lesson with 쑤 선생님!

Another great reading lesson with 쑤 선생님! I appreciate how she teaches vocabulary with concise yet comprehensive explanations, and how I get even more context on how to use the vocab when we read the article of the day. Today, I translated the article into English. (For context I want to do translation work in the future). It was challenging because sometimes the Korean sentences had upwards of three clauses, which is a mess to put into English word order if you know what I mean. But 쑤 선생님 was amazing! She patiently let me exhaust my brain trying the translation on my own, and when I wanted help, she jumped in with suggestions for more natural wording and a deeper understanding of what the original Korean sentence was trying to convey.
