My name is Olga or Helga and I am here to teach Bulgarian, Dutch, Swedish and Norwegian. I am open-minded, creative and communicative. These skills help me teaching in an amusing and interesting manner.

What you could expect from my teaching and my lessons really depends on the level of Bulgarian that you currently have. I would prefer it if you have some background in the language as my lessons are more tailored towards speaking about different topics and interactive ways of practicing the language.

Growing up I always had to translate a lot because I spoke 3 languages. I also have been teaching some of the languages to friends, and took foreign language classes as well in order to learn how to teach. Also being part of a french-japanese association, I met a lot of language learners, and being born trilingual I can see notice some things that monolingual natives may not notice. I am now a student in a language university in Japan and also studied one year in a French university in order to learn more about languages.

I love teaching people from different countries and backgrounds and helping you improve your communication with friends, extended family, colleagues and business partners. I have an MA degree in Applied linguistics - English and Japanese and I have been a teacher for more than 19 years teaching English, Japanese and my native languages - Bulgarian and Russian. I have also specialised in the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.

In teaching both French and Bulgarian, my main goal is to show you that learning can be an enjoyable and interesting process that is not necessarily difficult. According to your needs, I direct my work process so that you have development in the shortest possible time. I will introduce you not only to spelling and grammar, but especially to culture,evolution, origin, application in everyday life, literature and everything you will need to immerse yourself in the language. I look forward to studying with you.

As a PhD student in Bulgarian literature, I am interested in Bulgarian literature and cinema from the period of Socialism (1944-1989) and I believe that these topics would help my students not only in learning the language itself, but also in getting to know Bulgaria, its history and culture. I am patient and consistent in my work so it would be a pleasure to teach Bulgarian language even to complete beginners.
