Year 2022 will be the 4th year that I have been taking lessons with Yoshi Sensei. And I have had more than 300 lessons with him already. I am not alone, there are many other students who have had hundreds of lessons with him. I started with “Genki” and passed N2 within a year. I do believe that you need institutional type of formal learning and training when it comes to acquire a new language. But to compliment that, I very much like Yoshi Sensei’s serious but relaxed learning atmosphere. Thank you Sensei, for all your guidance all these years. I wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous 2022!

Today we talked about hobbies. It was good to get the chance to ask about chess and shogi and to talk about sports and hiking. I was happy to have learned a few new words and been corrected and given different ways to say a certain phrase.
